WCSJ2013 is history – at home again

I´m so glad being at home again.

Five days in Helsinki were remarkable, and our Science Journalists´ 8th World Conference succeeded marvelously – but still, home sweet home!

The only difficulty is the pain of my poor legs. On wednesday night we had a traditionally dancing night on Lammassaari. I tried to dance as much as possible – and tried to teach some finnish dances, too. We also decided to collect all participants to traditional LETKAJENKKA. It´s a dance, where all dancers are in a long queue and jumps in certain order.

Poor me, of course I had to be the first one in the queue who ordered the right steps. Uh, I noticed that I - or at least my legs - are far too old to this kind of madness. And the band, Vallilan Tango, just played and played...

Until now I have used all kind of medicine (from official pharma to magic tricks). But haven´t got much help.

Of cource, the whole congress (plenaries, seminars, Science night in the forest, Gold war tram, etc) stays in my mind for long – much longer than this pain in my Ball Dancing legs!
